G W R R A Georgia District Home Page F R I E N D S f o r FUN SAFETY KNOWLEDGE What a GREAT Success!!! Our "2nd Annual Come Ride With Us" Riding Rally was a FANTASTIC success. Guests from all around Georgia, as well as a large contingency from other neighboring States, came to join in the fun. I don't have the final registration count as I write this - but it was in excess of 160 people!!! Our "Stew Cookoff" on Friday evening was also a big success. We had 21 entrants in the competition - with the winner of this year's competition being Charlene and Bob Barron from Rock Hill, SC. Honestly, I tasted six different stews and they were all real good. Thanks to everyone that participated!!! The District provided Gourmet Sloppy Joe Meal on Saturday evening was also very good. No one went home hungry, that is for sure. Congratulations to Woody and Carol Whitlock - - - Our new 2020 - 2021 District Couple of the Year! I'm sure they will have a very rewarding year proudly representing the Georgia District. The flyer for our 3rd Annual Come Ride With Us Rally is already available on our 2021 Georgia Rally page. In 2021, our event is back in September, September 16-18, 2021 to be exact. Camp sites are going fast, so be sure to get your reservations made early! Also, remember, it helps the Georgia District when you register early, so please consider doing so. We do it all for YOU! So, please make plans to come join us for all the FUN in 2021!!! A Message from the Georgia District Directors On behalf of the entire Georgia District TEAM, Melinda and I would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone that attended our Georgia District Ride-In "Come Ride With Us" in Dillard, Georgia, September 19 - 21, 2019. The event was a spectacular success and everyone had a GREAT time! The Guided Rides were FANTASTIC... we had so many extemely positive comments. Participants were able to ride some little traveled roads as they explored North Georgia and of parts of North Carolina. Our Chili Cook-Off was also FANTASTICALLY received; we had 20 different chilis entered into the contest... and there was more than enough to feed all of our attendees on Friday... and then some! We also had our Gourmet Hot Dog Dinner on Saturday evening. It was also well received. Folks were truly surprized by the quality and size of the Hot Dogs the District provided. We had six winners in our Daily 50/25/25 Drawings... CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners! Plus, Georgia's next District Couple of the Year was selected... Congratulations to Bob and Karla Greer from Chapter A!!! I hope everyone is already looking forward to 2020! Due to availability of our site, in 2020 we will hold our event a couple of weeks later; October 8-10, 2020. Within the next few days, a flyer will be posted on this website for next year's event. Make plans to join us in 2020 and get ready to have FUN like you haven't had in years!
